SWERVY

Swervy Privacy Policy

Effective date: 24 October 2026

This policy explains what information the Swervy game ("Swervy", "the app") collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can control or delete it.

Who we are. Swervy is made by DinoDotDev ("we", "us"), Aevan Dino, Sweden. We are responsible for the personal data described here. Contact: dinodotdev@gmail.com.

The short version

Information we collect

1. Game progress stored on your device

Your coins, gems, best score, unlocked items, task progress and settings are stored on your phone. Uninstalling the app deletes this data.

2. Anonymous game account

When you first open Swervy, Firebase Authentication (a Google service) creates a random user ID for your installation. It contains no name, email or other details about you. It is used so that you can later link a Google or Apple account without losing your progress.

3. Cloud save (only if you sign in with Google or Apple)

If you choose Sign in with Google in Settings, we receive from Google:

Either way, your game progress (coins, gems, best score, unlocked items, task progress) is then stored in Cloud Firestore (a Google service) under your user ID, so you can restore it on a new phone. Your name, email and picture are held by Firebase Authentication; the app only shows your name in Settings so you can see which account is signed in. We do not use them to contact you or for advertising.

If you choose Sign in with Apple in Settings (on iPhone), Apple gives us a random identifier for your Apple ID. We do not ask Apple for your name or email address.

You can sign out at any time in Settings. Playing as a guest requires none of this.

4. Advertising (Google AdMob)

Swervy uses Google AdMob to show rewarded ads. Once your ad choices allow it, the app fetches ads in the background so they are ready, but an ad is only shown when you tap to watch one. To show ads, limit how often you see them, measure them and prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK collects:

Swervy does not request your device's GPS location.

We ask AdMob for ads suitable for general audiences only.

Your ad choices:

Why we use your information (legal bases)

For users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, we rely on:

Who we share information with

We share information only with these service providers, which process it to run the app:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, for example in response to a court order, or where necessary to protect the safety of our users or others.

We do not sell personal information for money.

Where your data is stored

Cloud saves are stored in Google's europe-west1 region (Belgium). Google may process some data, such as sign-in and ads data, in other countries, including the United States. Where data leaves the EEA, UK or Switzerland, Google relies on legally recognised safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Deleting your data

In the app: open Settings → Privacy and tap Delete, then Delete again to confirm. This straight away deletes your cloud save and your Swervy account (including any name, email and profile picture held by Firebase Authentication), and erases the progress on your phone. If you signed in with Google or Apple, they may ask you to confirm your account first. You need an internet connection.

If you never signed in: your progress is stored only on your phone. Deleting your account in Settings → Privacy, or uninstalling Swervy, erases it. Your anonymous user ID is not linked to any personal information.

If you no longer have the app:

  1. Email dinodotdev@gmail.com with the subject "Delete my Swervy data". If you signed in with Google, write from that Google account or include its email address. If you signed in with Apple, we only hold an anonymous Apple ID and can't match it to your email: the quickest way is to reinstall Swervy, sign in with Apple, and delete your account in Settings → Privacy.
  2. We delete your cloud save and your Swervy account within 30 days and confirm by email.

Nothing is kept afterwards, except where the law requires us to keep it. Deleting your Swervy account does not delete your Google or Apple account.

Advertising data is held by Google, not by us. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's settings (on iPhone, turn off tracking for Swervy), and manage your Google ad settings at myadcenter.google.com.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent. California residents have the right to know, delete and correct personal information, to opt out of its sale or sharing, and not to be treated differently for using these rights.

To use any of these rights, email dinodotdev@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days. If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. In Sweden, that is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY), imy.se.

Children

Swervy is intended for players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you live in a country where a higher age applies to consenting to personalised ads, please ask a parent or guardian before accepting them. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Cloud saves are protected by Firebase security rules: each player can read and write only their own save. Data is sent over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information, and we will tell you where the law requires it if a data breach affects you.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top. If we make a significant change, such as adding a new type of data or a new service, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect.
